Level Range: 30-40
Special Notes: RFK is a long instance, but can be very rewarding in terms of XP. Hey, at least it’s not the crawl it used to be!
Maps:
Bosses:
- Death Speaker Jargba: Casts Shadow Bolts, but otherwise straightforward.
- Aggem Thorncurse: Summons multiple non-elite boar spirits, which hang around after his death.
- Overlord Ramtusk: Pulls with his two guards.
- Agthelos the Raging: Kill the Ward Guardians and Ward Keepers to lower the force field to his entrance. He’ll materialize and run towards your group, so you may want to run forward to stay ahead of your DPS.
- Charlga Razorflank: Pull her out of her house and onto the main dirt platform you walked in on. Casts Chain Bolt, so try to keep moving to avoid others.
Druid Says…
If you’re tanking in heirloom caster cloth gear, we can’t help you. We just can’t.

There’s also an escort quest still available after Charlga. Jump down and head towards the northeast and there’s a goblin there to escort to the beginning. No additional bosses, but some random mobs on the way.
And it’s a fun little run with a nice group, too!
Wow! This is extremely helpful! Thanks for the help!
I believe Death Speaker Jargba can also still cast Dominate Mind, which takes control of one of the party members. It can be interrupted or dispelled.
PLEASE do continue with these! I recently started leveling up my first tank and was running into frustration because, having never haunted the dungeon system much, I was unfamiliar with most of them. Your summaries are exactly what I needed to get just enough of a headstart that I didn’t make a complete bumbling idiot of myself in Razorfen Kraul and other instances.
I noticed that your Scarlet Monastery dungeons are not current to the new MoP changes. Do you plan on making such changes to these and other dungeons that have undergone changes for the new expansion? When you do I can’t wait to utilize them. Your maps are very detailed and straightforward. They really helped this nooby tank get started!
